A Magical Hogwarts Christmas

Thursday, 11 December 2014

I grew up waiting for my letter to Hogwarts. From the first chapter of The Philosophers Stone I was hooked. I devoured book one to three and waited patiently for each new book to arrive after that. I became completely antisocial until I finished each new book. It was so easy to get lost in the world of witchcraft and wizardry. I've been looking forward to visiting the studio since it opened but found it hard to find the time. When I read that the tour was decorated for Christmas when I was visiting London I was sold.
Outside the great hall.
Jacket Vintage (See Paris Post) // Shorts H&M// Jumper H&M// Over the Knee Boots Stradivarius// Fluffy Key Chain River Island// Bag Penneys
There was a demonstration of how they created the fake fire and snow in the movies but I was clearly distracted.
Saving the best for last the model of Hogwarts in the snow really is magical. I would recommend the tour for anyone Saoirse my friend hasn't read the books and has only watched one of the films (don't worry I'm gonna make her watch the rest over christmas) and she really enjoyed it too!

Recently I went to visit a friend from college in Manchester. She was moving apartment and having a little house warming party so it was the perfect excuse for a little girly trip.
Jacket H&M// Top Topshop// Jeans Dr Denim// Bag New Look// Boots Dunnes Stores

I flew over that morning so I wanted to wear something comfortable but I knew we would be out shopping and going for lunch so wanted a nice casual outfit. This H&M jacket is a wool material so it was really cosy and I love this blue bucket bag from New Look it's the perfect size for travelling and the colour is amazing.
Manchester is a really gorgeous city and perfect for a little city break if your looking for somewhere close to Dublin. The flight is only 30 minutes.  The shopping is amazing. We stopped at this little jewellery store in the centre of the city. Well not jewellery it was full of beads and crystals and you make up your own bracelets or necklaces. Perfect for a personal gift, so I made a bracelet for my sisters birthday.
So many pretty beads, needless to say I took a while choosing. I had such a nice weekend catching up, it's hard to stay in touch with everyone when you finish college, so its nice to spend time together when you can.

Chasing Waterfalls

Thursday, 16 October 2014

The last morning of our little trip we explored our beautiful hotel. Starting the day with a little coffee in our room. The rooms face onto the water falls, the views are so cool. The noise from the water is really peaceful we left feeling very zen.

Ring of Kerry

The second day of our trip to Kerry we decided to drive along the coast.  The drive is a popular tourist route called the Ring and of Kerry. I'd never been to Kerry before and I really didn't realise how much there was to see.

A Stroll Along La Seine

Monday, 29 September 2014

This was the last day of our short trip and we had no major plans other than to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. We were all still on a high from the concert the night before so we decided just to wander.
We stopped at the famous love lock bridge. Unfortunately none of us had a lock so we just took picture instead.
After a quick ramble past the Notre Dame (the line was too long to go inside) we started in the direction for Musee de L'Orangerie.
We had to pass through Tuileries Gardens where the loungers and the sun were so tempting that we made a quick detour for ice cream and a nap.
Our last stop was Angelinas, it's a must for any Paris trip.
Unfortunately we didn't have much time to enjoy it, we had to head back to the hotel to grab our luggage but we managed to pick up some macaroons to bring home and a sneaky takeaway hot chocolate. Then it was time to head home and say au revoir to Paris until next time!

Beyonce, Beyonce, Are You Happy To Be in Paris?

Wednesday, 17 September 2014

Today was officially Bey day as far as we were concerned. When we heard Beyonce and Jay-Z were bringing their On The Run tour to Europe we decided we had to go and today was the day. The morning papers made us even more excited!!
After a quick croissant and coffee breakfast, we headed for a stroll around The Musée du Louvre. One of my favorite things about Paris is the museums and galleries.
After the Louvre we went to Palais Galliera, The City of Paris Museum of Fashion. The exhibit was 50's Parisian couture, it had designs from all the major fashion houses Dior, Balmain, Chanel and Givenchy. Unfortunately there were no pictures allowed but I swear the pieces were amazing.

Our last stop before we got ready for the concert was the Champs Elysees for a quick bite to eat and some shopping.
The concert was amazing they played for over two and half hours and we danced the entire time. I only have some blurry iphone pictures but I love this one! It was so exciting to see them together live.
